Keeping Our Cool at COP26

A partnership initiative between Scottish Mediation, Centre for Good Relations and Place for Hope.

Alongside the 25,000 conference delegates, including many world leaders and politicians and NGOs from around the world to lobby them there will be approximately 10,000 police on duty each day to protect them and somewhere around 100,000 protestors trying to get their voice heard. Plus the good people of Glasgow. It’s anticipated the city will be a lively place to be.

We’re a team of experienced, independent mediators helping all those involved at COP26 to:

·  Support constructive communication, contact and interaction

·  Contribute to a successful and peaceful event

·  Help people be heard, address contentious issues, disagreements and tensions through dialogue

To be clear, we are not based in nor are we expecting to be in the main conference area (the Blue Zone), but our work will be out in the rest of Glasgow, wherever large numbers are gathering. Though we won’t be with the leaders we anticipate and hope they will be listening hard to what’s going on in Glasgow and around the world.

If you’re in Glasgow, as a resident, for work or a a protestor, in a word, we’re here for you. Speak to us to raise your concerns and frustrations, and to talk things through. You can:

- Phone us anytime on 07947 529 756 or 07947 529 761 to speak to one of our lead practitioners. Note: These numbers will be live from November 1st.

- Email us anytime: COP26@centreforgoodrelations.com

We will be working from both the Women's Library and the Quaker Meeting House on Saturday 6th November)
